Regenerative medicine

Regenerative medicine

Personalized, nonsurgical care for joint pain, stiffness, and limited mobility — focused on helping you move more comfortably and enjoy your everyday activities.

Joint Pain Management

What Is It?

Joint Pain Management & Regenerative Care focuses on helping you move more comfortably and manage pain through personalized, nonsurgical treatment options.

At MedSmart Wellness Centers, we evaluate joint discomfort, stiffness, and limited mobility to recommend care tailored to your condition and goals. Depending on your needs, your plan may include targeted regenerative procedures — such as PRP, shockwave therapy, or stem cell and exosome therapy — intended to help reduce discomfort and improve function. Suitability and results vary by patient and treatment.

Your care begins with a consultation at our Aventura office, where we review your medical history, symptoms, and previous treatments, then explain your options and what you can realistically expect.

What to Expect

Personalized consultation: an evaluation of your symptoms, mobility, and treatment goals.

Targeted care: an in-office treatment plan focused on the affected area, when appropriate.

Clear recovery guidance: procedure time, downtime, and activity restrictions depend on your treatment.

Follow-up support: guidance to monitor your progress and determine next steps.

Move toward greater comfort — schedule your joint pain consultation today.

Stem Cell & Exosome Therapy

What Is It?

Think of stem cells as the body’s “repair crew.” Unlike most cells, which have one fixed job, stem cells can renew themselves and turn into specialized cells — like cartilage, bone, or muscle — when the body needs them. As we age or after an injury, we have fewer of them and they work less well, which is one reason healing slows down over time.

Exosomes are tiny “message bubbles” released by cells, including stem cells. If stem cells are the repair crew, exosomes are the instructions the crew sends out — signaling nearby cells to calm inflammation, start repairs, and produce new collagen. Together, they are intended to give the treated area both an early boost and sustained support for the body’s natural repair process.

Our stem cell and exosome therapy is offered as a nonsurgical option for eligible patients with joint pain and orthopedic conditions. Improvement is usually gradual — over weeks to months — and results vary from person to person; this therapy is not a guaranteed cure.

Available by consultation: every regenerative treatment begins with an in-person medical evaluation at our Aventura office, where our team reviews your diagnosis, medical history, and goals, and explains what you can realistically expect.

Transparency You Can Trust

Stem cell and exosome therapies are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Florida law allows licensed physicians to offer stem cell therapies for orthopedic and pain management conditions under specific requirements, including written informed consent — and we meet every one of them. We also encourage you to discuss these treatment options with your primary care provider.

We believe informed patients make the best decisions, and we’ll give you the facts straight — starting with your first visit.

PRP Pain management

What is it?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy is a cutting-edge, regenerative treatment designed to support your body’s natural healing process—without surgery or long recovery times. At MedSmart Wellness Centers, we use PRP to help patients improve joint comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life.

PRP is created from a small sample of your own blood. Using advanced centrifuge technology, we concentrate platelets rich in growth factors that play a key role in tissue repair and regeneration. These growth factors help stimulate collagen production, improve blood flow, and support healing in joints, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.

Curious whether PRP or another regenerative option is the right fit? It starts with a consultation at our Aventura office to review your history and goals before recommending a plan tailored to you.

What to Expect

  • A quick in-office procedure (about 40 minutes)
  • Blood draw → platelet concentration → targeted injection
  • Minimal downtime with most patients returning to normal activity quickly

Shockwave therapy

What Is Shockwave Therapy?

Shockwave Therapy—also known as Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)—is a non-invasive, drug-free treatment used to relieve joint, tendon, and soft tissue pain while accelerating the body’s natural healing process.

Shockwave therapy is one of our advanced regenerative treatments designed to help patients recover faster without surgery, injections, or downtime.

How Shockwave Therapy Works

Shockwave therapy uses targeted acoustic waves that penetrate deep into injured tissue. These waves:

  • Stimulate blood flow
  • Trigger the release of natural growth factors
  • Promote collagen production
  • Break down scar tissue
  • Reduce inflammation and pain

The result? Faster healing and long-lasting pain relief.

Each session typically lasts 10–20 minutes and is performed in a comfortable outpatient setting.

PRP Hair Restoration + Ultrasound Therapy

PRP hair restoration treatment - scalp evaluation at the clinic

What is it?

PRP Hair Restoration + Ultrasound Therapy is a nonsurgical treatment designed to support thicker, healthier-looking hair by combining two complementary approaches.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is prepared from a small sample of your own blood and concentrated into growth factors that help stimulate hair follicles and support a healthier scalp environment. Ultrasound therapy uses gentle sound-wave energy to improve circulation in the scalp and help the treatment reach deeper, so follicles receive more of the signals they need.

Treatments are performed in-office with little to no downtime. Because hair grows in cycles, results build gradually over a series of sessions, and outcomes vary by patient.
